Question 1

Who Has the Cheapest Dumpster Rentals in Longview?

Accepted Answer

The lowest advertised price online often hides delivery fees, fuel surcharges, environmental fees, and tiny weight limits. At Greater Longview Dumpster, our flat-rate pricing includes 100% free delivery, scheduled pickup, generous weight allowances, and driveway protection boards. Compare the total all-in price before booking.

Question 2

What Dumpster Size Should I Rent?

Accepted Answer

For small garage cleanouts and heavy dirt or concrete, choose a 10-yard container. For flooring tear-outs or single-room remodels, choose a 15-yard container. For full kitchen/bath remodels, roofing, and estate cleanouts, choose our most popular 20-yard dumpster. For commercial construction and whole-house teardowns, select a 30-yard dumpster.

Question 3

How Long Can I Keep a Dumpster?

Accepted Answer

Our standard rental package includes 3 to 7 full days on your property. If your project runs longer than anticipated, you can easily extend your rental for an affordable low daily extension rate by calling or texting our local dispatch desk.

Question 4

Can I Rent a Dumpster for Three Days?

Accepted Answer

Yes! We offer flexible short-term weekend and 3-day cleanout options tailored for quick residential decluttering. Every rental includes prompt delivery, scheduled placement, generous weight allowance, and guaranteed haul-away with zero hidden fees.

Question 5

Can I Put Concrete in a Dumpster?

Accepted Answer

Yes, but concrete, brick, dirt, and pavers must be placed in our 10-yard low-profile containers. Because inert materials are exceptionally dense, keeping concrete in a 10-yard container ensures the truck stays within legal Texas DOT highway weight limits.

Question 6

Can I Put Roofing Shingles in a Dumpster?

Accepted Answer

Yes, asphalt shingles are standard accepted materials. A 15-yard container comfortably holds up to 35 squares of single-layer shingles, while a 20-yard container accommodates up to 60-70 squares within the included 3.5-ton weight allowance.

Question 7

Can I Put Furniture in a Dumpster?

Accepted Answer

Yes, all standard household furniture - including couches, recliners, dining tables, dressers, bed frames, and patio sets - can be loaded. We recommend opening the rear walk-in door to pack bulky furniture flat on the bottom of the container.

Question 8

Can I Put Yard Waste in a Dumpster?

Accepted Answer

Yes, organic yard waste including pine limbs, storm branches, shrubs, bushes, grass, and sod is accepted. Untreated timber fencing is also permitted. Large tree stumps over 12 inches in diameter require prior dispatch approval.

Question 9

Can I Put a Mattress in a Dumpster?

Accepted Answer

Yes, mattresses and box springs of all sizes (twin, queen, king) are accepted in our roll-offs without penalty. Unlike municipal curb collection, we do not require special advance plastic bagging.

Question 10

Can I Put Appliances in a Dumpster?

Accepted Answer

Non-Freon appliances like washing machines, dryers, dishwashers, and ovens are accepted. Refrigerators, freezers, and air conditioners can only be accepted if certified and tagged by an EPA-licensed HVAC technician confirming all Freon refrigerant has been evacuated.

Question 11

What Happens If I Exceed the Weight Limit?

Accepted Answer

If your payload exceeds your container's included tonnage cap, overage is billed at a flat, transparent prorated scale rate. We provide a certified scale slip from the landfill so you only pay for actual extra weight.

Question 12

What Happens If I Need the Dumpster Longer?

Accepted Answer

Extending your rental is simple. Just call or text (903) 861-8979 at least 24 hours before your scheduled pickup date. Extra days are billed at an affordable low daily rate with zero rescheduling fees.

Question 13

How Quickly Can You Deliver a Dumpster?

Accepted Answer

We guarantee next-day delivery across Longview, Tyler, Kilgore, White Oak, and surrounding Core East Texas areas. For urgent jobs, early morning calls often qualify for same-day afternoon drop-off depending on driver route availability.

Question 14

Do You Offer Same Day Dumpster Rental in Longview?

Accepted Answer

Yes, same-day delivery is available for urgent orders placed early in the day within the Longview city core (Loop 281, Judson Rd, Eastman Rd, and Gilmer Rd corridors).

Question 15

Can a Dumpster Go on a Street?

Accepted Answer

On private property and driveways, no permit is required. If a dumpster must be placed on a public City of Longview street or right-of-way, an obstruction permit must be obtained from the Longview Public Works Department before placement.

Question 16

Do I Need to Be Home for Delivery?

Accepted Answer

No, you do not need to take time off work. As long as your driveway is clear of vehicles, gates are unlocked, and overhead limbs are cleared, our driver will place the container exactly where instructed, lay down protective boards, and text you a confirmation photo.

Question 17

How Do I Stop People From Taking Items or Dumping in My Dumpster?

Accepted Answer

We recommend positioning the container up near your garage rather than at the street apron, leaving motion floodlights on at night, and placing a standard heavy-duty tarp with bungee cords over the top rim when the container is unattended.
